A copy of the Parent Agreement Form must be read and signed by a parent or guardian for all swimmers in the family and submitted to the board along with the filled out TSST Registration Form for each swimmer and the registration fee(s) before any swimmer is allowed to enter the pool. You may also need to provide a TSST Permission Slip for your child to participate in some events.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for each swimmer is $110 for the season. The Tom Sawyer Swim Team Board will reduce the registration fee for additional swimmers in the family, so that the fee for the 2nd swimmer is $100, and the 3rd & 4th, $90 each. The registration fee is due by the first day of practice, May 29th. No swimmer will enter the pool until the fee is paid in full
Team Suit
A navy racing suit is required for meets. The official team suit is a navy racing suit with the team logo monogrammed on it. There is a $5 monogramming fee for the suits. Monogramming is optional.
Arrangements will be made to drop off and pick up suits.
Behavior and Discipline
Each swimmer has a right to be safe, accepted, and supported as a team member. Each family is expected to have an attitude that is positive and conducive to the well being of all swimmers and the team. Abusive language or behavior in any form or fashion by anyone, swimmers, parents, coaches, or fans will not be tolerated. Anyone using foul, abusive, and insulting language or behavior will be dismissed from the pool area by a coach, TSST board member, or park employee.
Swimmers are expected to listen and obey the coaches in practice and at swim meets. The coach(es) will warn a disruptive swimmer twice during a practice/meet, and the third time the swimmer will be asked to sit out of practice and/or swim meet.
The parents will be notified in writing if the swimmer must sit out of practice or a meet for disruptive behavior after a 3rd warning or for any occurrence of foul or abusive language or behavior. The 2nd time that a swimmer must be removed from practice or a meet, the swimmer’s name will be removed from the roster and the swimmer will be asked not to attend any TSST events. No registration refund will be given.
A young swimmer that is disruptive to a Bullpen Parent at the swim meet will be removed from the bullpen and returned to the care of his/her parents.
Parent Involvement
A family must provide one worker for a minimum of 3 regular meets during the season. Parents can sign up for dates and jobs at the parent meeting on May 29. Meeting will take place while the children are practicing. Parents with very small children who cannot arrange child care during a meet will be asked to help the team in another way.
